As well as the private flying sites that are reserved for members only, we also use several public sites, mainly for gliding.
St Agnes Head
This site provides excellent gliding from the clifftop and is particularly suitable for westerly winds. All members and visitors please ensure that you fly according to the National Trust rules and the BMFA guidelines.
This site provides excellent gliding from the Brea during northerly winds. It provides excellent views over the North Cliffs site and St Agnes Head.
Here we fly from a large dune in southerly wind, the climb is a bit steep so make sure you have all your kit before you start!
Carn Brea Field
Due to the inflexibililty of the council to amend the proposed hirer agreement which would otherwise make the club responsible for ANY model aircraft flyer at this site, be they a club member or not, the club will no longer make use of it. Any member of the club or non-member MUST first obtain permission as an individual from Kerrier District Council, and not as a member of the R&DMFC.
