Scale-For-Fun Competition Rules.

The club holds an annual scale-for-fun competition where the following rules are generally applied.

Models may be entered in one of three classes:

    ARTF
    Fun Fighter
    Scale

Scores are awarded in three rounds for each class:

  • Stand-Off Appearance


  • A maximum of 20 points may be awarded for the scale appearance of the model when viewed from a distance of 10 metres.

    In the case of ‘ARTF’ models, consideration should be made for any modifications the entrant has made to the original kit.

    A penalty of -50% shall be applied if the model was not constructed by the entrant.

  • Detailed Appearance


  • A maximum of 20 points may be awarded for the detailed appearance of the model.

    In the case of ‘ARTF’ models, consideration should be made for any modifications the entrant has made to the original kit.

    A penalty of -50% shall be applied if the model was not constructed by the entrant

  • Flight Manoeuvres


  • A maximum of 40 points may be awarded for completion of the requested manoeuvres in a scale manner befitting the model. Manoeuvres suitable for both the aircraft and the pilots’ abilities should be catered for.

    Where the model is not flown by the entrant, then a maximum of 1 point may be awarded for each manoeuvre completed.

    Where the model is not flown, zero points to be awarded.
